Arrived today due to 2004 Lennox not cooling which is responsible for the entire house.Upon arrival the thermostats were in the off position turned each on finding them to be at 66°, 64°, 65° with desired temperatures of 66°, 74°, 76° dropped temperatures on each thermostat confirming indoor & outdoor equipment were both fully operational.Once operation was determined began diagnostic on the indoor equipment the filter 16x25x1 was slightly discolored but not clogged the filter wasn’t replaced on this visit.Blower motor was fully operational not showing any signs of being intermittent or dropping out.Blower amps were taken finding them to be elevated indicating damage has taken place which means it’s approaching failure if failure transpires will lose functionality to equipment a quote to replace blower motor has been provided.Blower wheel was inspected finding it to be extremely dirty when a blower wheel gets dirty it minimizes the efficiency of equipment along with places a strain on
Arrived to inspect rtu15 System is a multistage(two separate compressors) gas furnace Multistage air conditioning and multistage gas furnace First stage cooling fully is functional, refrigerant pressures are appropriate with indoor and outdoor conditions Second stage cooling is low on refrigerant, system is operating below 32 degrees, system is approximately 2lbs low of r-410a possible causes of low refrigerant , refrigerant could be lost by previous repair and services or by possible leaks in the system System thermostat is a legacy style mercury switch, which offers limited functionality and precision Some surface rust from exhaust heat exchanger(photos attached)
DCM1 complete; AC; (1) F16251 replaced. System is functional. Most components are operating within manufacturer specifications. Zone damper for second floor has failed. System is slightly overcharged, Subcool is 26*, amp draws are elevated but not exceeding RLA. System is 20 years old. Outdoor capacitor had failed, was replaced in July of last year with no break in membership. Replaced under warranty.
