I began by removing the old equipment and proceeded to install a new Rheem 3 ton evaporator coil paired with a 2.5 ton abc unit. A new drain pan safety switch and coil safety switch were installed to ensure system safety. I also added a composite pad for added protection and a line voltage monitor with surge protector for the outdoor unit. The supply plenum, drain line, and line set were reconnected. After ensuring all connections were secure, I tested the system operations and set the appropriate refrigerant charge.

On Day 1, I removed outdated equipment and installed a new Rheem 5-ton evaporator coil, a 5-ton air conditioning unit, and an 80% efficient 100k BTU gas furnace. I also installed a new return plenum with a 20x25x1 filter, a supply plenum, an emergency drain pan, a pan safety switch, a coil safety switch, and a composite pad for the outdoor unit. I reconnected all necessary lines and tested the system in both heating and cooling modes, setting the appropriate refrigerant charge. On Day 2, I installed a new Mitsubishi 12k BTU heat pump mini-split, including new high voltage wiring, a breaker, disconnect, electrical whip, drain line, communication wire, and thermostat. I tested the system and set the refrigerant charge.
