DCM1: AC complete, replaced 20x20x1 filter. System is functional however is not operating within manufacturer specifications at this time due to indoor capacitor being out of range (10+-10% 7.9) and outdoor fan side capacitor being out of range (45/5+-10% 43.2/3.2). Refrigerant pressures and temperatures are appropriate for indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Due to age of system multiple part failure is possible at anytime. Photos and maintenance checklist attached.
Installed New Thermostat, Tested all Modes, System functions as designed Installed disconnect to recently installed unit, Tested and confirmed system was running at desired manufacturer specifications(pictures attached) Need to return to install oversized backplate behind thermostat(Edge of wallpaper can be seen)
Removed old equipment and installed new Rheem 5 ton evaporator coil and A/c unit. Installed new pan safety switch and new coil safety switch. Reconnected drain line, supply plenum, high voltage and low voltage. Tested system operations in cooling, set refrigerant charge.
Arrived to indoor unit running, went outside saw contactor was pulled in but outdoor unit was not starting, checked voltage at contactor no voltage, checked voltage at disconnect no voltage. Checked breaker, breaker had been flip reset breaker and powered up outdoor unit. System turned on however pressures were high, and compressor amp draws were high, removed leaves from around outdoor unit and rinsed outdoor coils to determine reason compressor over amping, pressures dropped to normal and compressor is still over amping compressor is beginning to fail. System is cooling at this time.
DCM1 complete; Heat; (1) F20201 replaced. System is fully functional. All components are operating within manufacturer specifications with exceptions. Refrigerant pressures and temperatures are appropriate for outdoor and indoor conditions. Heat checklist attached. Indoor blower motor capacitor is slightly out of tolerances, high voltage wire to supplemental heat strips is showing signs of wear. Photo attached.
