ebony@matthesterhomes.com Upon arrival customer told me the system was not operating. Turned system on and tested. Found system is low 4-5lbs of R410A, indoor blower wheel is dirty and heat strip’s contactor is chattering. Spoke with homeowner let him know the system is 10 years old and out of warranty. Recommended not running system in A/C due to potentially freezing the evaporator coils. Homeowner asked for quote to replace complete system and a price to leak search and replace evaporator coil. Would have to leak search before knowing if evaporator or condenser coil is leaking. Photos attached.
DCM1: AC complete, replaced 16x25x1 filter. System is fully functional and operating within manufacturer specifications at this time. Refrigerant pressures and temperatures are appropriate for indoor and outdoor weather conditions. System is from 2009, found blower wheel has dirt build up and outdoor capacitor is out of range 40/5. Spoke with homeowner he decided to have the capacitor replaced and asked if I could use a vacuum to help relieve the blower wheel. Replaced and tested 40/5 capacitor, is operating properly. Amps dropped from 9.9 to 7.3 on compressor. Used vacuum on blower wheel and removed some dirt however majority of the dirt is stuck to the blades and will have to do a proper blower wheel cleaning to remove. Maintenance checklist attached.
Performed single system cooling maintenance, replaced filter, found indoor blower wheel needs to be cleaned, estimate included
