DCM1 :Service 1 of 2 ;Heat, Changed (1) 16x20x1, Performed Heating Maintenance Per Checklist system is running at this time.
Removed existing filter dryer, TXV and Compressor. Installed new TXV, filter dryer and compress. Added 1 oz of acid away ( in accordance with product information chart ) Pressure tested system 178.5 psi with no reduction after 10 min test. Removed all moisture and non-condensable gases from refrigerant circuit by pulling a vacuum to 456 microns , rose to 495 after decay test. Added 12 lbs of R410A. Tested system. Functions as designed. Refrigerant pressures and temperatures are appropriate for indoor and outdoor conditions. Superheat of 11* and Subcool of 11*
Assisted Rob.
DCM3 complete; AC, (1) 20x25x2, (4) 16x16x2 (4) 16x20x2 replaced. RTU# 2 and RTU #3 are fully functional. All components are operating within manufacturer specifications. Refrigerant pressures and temperatures are appropriate for indoor and outdoor conditions. RTU #1 has an 18* temp difference across the filter dryer. Compressor amperage lower than expected 12A with a listed RLA of 24. Would expect an amp draw of 18-20A. High and Low Pressures are within 45 psi. Compressor winding resistance is recommended to be no higher than .52 ohms. Measuring .68-.70 ohms across windings. Filter dryer is clogged/restricted. Compressor has likely failed and parts/debris associated with the compressor failure have clogged the filter dryer. It is possible that debris could’ve gotten past filter dryer ( though catching debris is one of its functions ) and entered the TXV. Compressor failure and TXV failure can’t be confirmed but components are still under warranty.
