Had a great experience with Dobbs Heating and Air! Other companies told me I'd have to wait 3 months for routine A/C maintenance with a 12-hour appointment window — not Dobbs. They offered flexible scheduling and arrived right on time. Mason was friendly, explained everything clearly, and even left me a spare filter. Prompt, efficient, and professional service. DCM1: AC complete, replaced 14x25x1 filter. Recommend replacing filter more frequently to keep system clean and operational. System is fully functional and operating within manufacturer specifications at this time. Refrigerant pressures and temperatures are appropriate for indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Found that system doesn’t have any surge protection. Talked to son he said they do have power outages every once in awhile, recommend surge protector to help protect system and main components from over voltage and under voltage issues.
Completed single system cooling maintenance. Checked filter, unit operating properly at this time. The system is old R22, due to it being obsolete and no efficiency I recommend unit being replaced.
Arrived to thermostat set to cool but system not operating. Found rollout safety open reset rollout safety and confirmed systems operations were proper. Talked to homeowner she said she did run the heat one day and then a couple days after she noticed the ac wasn’t operating. Told homeowner not to run system in heat mode due to system probably rolling out. Asked homeowner if she would like me to check for a crack in the heat exchanger now and she said just to do it on next maintenance. Offered homeowner a comfort advisor and she would like to have one come out but times I had did not align with her schedule office team will need to reach out and schedule a comfort advisor.
For today Job i performed a AC maintenance and I explained to Mr Bedgood how important refrigerant levels are. I noticed the unit is slightly under chargers or have a leak an we will need to perform certain steps to determine what will be the next step. I also explained to Mr Bedgood about the importance of his blower wheel and evaporator coil. He wanted estimates an also to get unit charged with leak detection. Everything else checked out fine
